Technical Lead – Full Stack Engineer (Open Metadata)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled **Technical Lead – Full Stack Engineer** with strong expertise in **Open Metadata** to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and integrating catalog platforms and building scalable, high-performance data management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack solutions for data cataloging and metadata management.
- Architect and implement Open Metadata-based solutions, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to enhance metadata-driven governance.
- Develop APIs and services to enhance metadata accessibility and usability.
- Optimize catalog platform performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Drive best practices for software development, including CI/CD, code quality, and security.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions and strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience** with expertise in backend and frontend technologies (e.g., Java, Python, React, Angular, Node.js).
- Strong knowledge of Open Metadata** frameworks and their implementation.
- Experience in managing and integrating data catalog platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or similar.
- Experience in integration and building new connectors for the Open Metadata platform.
- Proficiency in working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native services.
- Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and metadata-driven automation.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data governance frameworks and compliance policies.
- Hands-on experience with graph & Elastic databases for metadata management.
- Familiarity with machine learning-driven metadata enrichment.
- Contributions to Open Metadata or open-source data governance projects.
