Basic Requirements
• Good Knowledge of Data Structures, Design patterns, and Algorithms.
• Knowledge of Data Distribution, Leader Election, and Memory allocation routines.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business
requirements.
• Knowledge of data redistribution techniques in case of Node Failures.
• Knowledge of Query Parsing techniques.
• Basic Knowledge of GCP/AWS/Azure
Preferred Requirements
• Bachelor /Master's degree in Data Science, or related field.
• Basic understanding of Java and Scala/ Hadoop
• Understanding of Big Data technologies and solutions (Spark, Hadoop Hive,
MapReduce) and multiple scripting and languages (YAML, Python).
• Understanding of Amazon Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services technologies in
the big data and data warehousing space (BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataproc,
Dataflow, Data Catalog).
• Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and
delivering results in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively
advocate technical solutions to research scientists, engineering teams and business
audiences.
